Hipster Bing-O! Preview
In honor of Lollapalooza- and all the good people watching that rolls into Chicago each year with it- we’d like to give you a peek at a silly little project we tossed together, Hipster Bing-O!
Yeah, these things and derivatives have been around for ages, but we thought it would be a good little chance to play with integrating Silverlight with the Bing API.
Take a peek. We still want to tune the search parameters a little bit before toss it up on it’s own domain, which will most likely be monday (domain name propogation, joy). We’re also open to feedback, so holler back in comments.
We’ll get the full source files and documentation up monday as well– right now we’ve got to get over to grant park and start looking for dudes in girljeans and ladies in kanye glasses.
Any tips on what this is actually doing? I assume it’s searching hipster terms in Bing and displaying images.. but you didn’t really say.. so.. ?

Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly what it’s doing- if you rollover the image, you’ll see the exact search term it queried. We’ve manually fed it at list, but it should be simple enough to expose that with a simple a simple UI that let you ad and subtract terms/parameters.
